Trump's own director of National Intelligence, John Ratcliffe, accidentally destroyed Trump's lies about electoral fraud.
As noted by Washington Post's Greg Sargent:
But the other thing Ratcliffe said about Iran is really important. Here it is:
Iran is distributing other content in order to record a video that implies that individuals could cast fraudulent ballots, even from overseas. This video and all claims made about such allegedly fraudulent ballot papers are not true.
You don't say DNI Ratcliffe. By the way, who else has made such claims of fraudulent ballot papers?
Trump has that, of course. And so did his Attorney General, William P. Barr. And the President's son, Donald Trump Jr.
Iran attacked the elections to violate Donald Trump's story. The story goes unglued pretty quickly, in large part due to the instant Democrats' backlash finding that Ratcliffe was saying something other than what they were told in their secret briefing.
The other shoe that fell down to kill this story was Donald Trump himself, who danced all over the news by posting the video of his disastrous 60 minute interview.
Ratcliffe believed he was helping Trump, but he actually shattered the backbone of Trump's plan to contest the election by claiming widespread mail-in electoral fraud.
As the election draws into the last few days, everything goes wrong for Trump.
