Jaime Harrison showed why he could beat Lindsey Graham by using health care to turn the tables on the incumbent Republican Senator.
Jaime Harrison is Lindsey Graham's worst nightmare. For example, his response to health care, which shows that he puts the needs of the South Carolinians first when Graham plays national politics. pic.twitter.com/f6fZZS3RcZ

Harrison said on MSNBC, “Healthcare, healthcare, healthcare and the coronavirus have only made it worse. You know we all had these issues before the coronavirus and it's worse now. As for you now – we have a case in the Supreme Court, it will be decided on November 10th whether or not healthcare is being ripped away from about 20 million Americans in the middle of this pandemic, and Lindsey Graham supports it. People are very concerned. This is a state with many people with pre-existing conditions. Diabetes, heart failure, stroke. We have a lot of seniors. People are very concerned that their health care will go away. "
Jaime Harrison didn't need to tell South Carolina that Lindsey Graham and his Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett are the reason their health care may go missing, as Graham has focused his entire re-election campaign on getting Barrett.
Harrison is Graham's worst nightmare. He is a candidate who appeals to a third of the state's electorate, and polls have shown that he has convinced many voters by speaking about local concerns.
There is no significant difference in messaging between Lindsey Graham and Mitch McConnell's re-election campaigns other than Lou Dobbs telling Republicans not to vote for Graham. Both ignore the concerns of their constituents and fear socialism and the Democrats. The difference is that Graham doesn't have as tight a grip on South Carolina as McConnell does on Kentucky.
Win or Lose Jaime Harrison was one of the Senate's top Democratic challengers in 2020, and he shows why he is Lindsey Graham's worst nightmare to face.
