Trump has contracted the US financial system probably the most since 1946

Trump's botched handling of the coronavirus pandemic resulted in the U.S. economy contracting the most than since 1946.

About CNN,

The US economy grew 4% on an annualized and seasonally adjusted basis in the fourth quarter of 2020, just as economists had predicted, the Commerce Department reported Thursday. But that didn't make up for a bad first quarter and a historically terrible second quarter. For 2020 as a whole, GDP fell by 3.5% compared to the previous year. That was the worst decline since 1946. "

The problems within the economy are numerous. Millions upon millions of people remain unemployed. Consumer spending is falling and savings are increasing. People don't spend and leave their money in the bank out of uncertainty.

The good news is that the Democrats aren't messing around and passing a COVID relief bill that will help the American people get through this unprecedented period. The even better news is that once most of the nation is vaccinated and the pandemic is behind us, the economy will be ready for the recovery.

No other nation is fighting as powerfully as the United States because Donald Trump has caused this chaos. If the pandemic had been properly addressed, the nation would be in a better position to recover and grow.

Add to the list of reasons Trump should never be allowed near a federal office again, the biggest economic contraction since 1946.
